Gulliver visited Laputa, the flying island, after being shipwrecked and was rescued, but he was not brought there by the shipwreck. He was rescued by the flying island of Laputa, which was a kingdom where music, mathematics, and astronomy flourished. However, instead of staying on Laputa, he left it and went to another place, where he had to live in another country before he could return home.

A Trip to Laputa: After a shipwreck, Gulliver found himself in the land of Lilliput, where he lived with little people, becoming their captive and then their friend. He then traveled to Laputa, a floating island where music, mathematics, and astronomy flourished, but where they were not known for their practical applications. In Laputa, Gulliver was forced to crawl on the ground and lick the dust at the foot of the king's throne, as special laws were in effect there that he was unaware of. After leaving Laputa, Gulliver traveled to Japan, where he met Dutch sailors and returned home.

Conclusion: Gulliver eventually left Laputa and went to Japan. His journey through Laputa ended after he encountered a floating island, forcing him to abandon it. Gulliver ended up on an island where he had to live in another country before he could return home.
